pete,
One of the inner junkie's most dangerous and tantalizing thoughts is that there are "good" reasons to smoke... and so, when we are in one of those situations, we can smoke because "we need to" or "we deserve to" or "it's OK to" and you know what? IT'S NOT! There is NO "good" reason to smoke! You might think so, but that just proves how much the junkie has a hold of you!!!
Non-smokers don't have "good" reasons to smoke, so why should we???? We're non-smokers now!!! And if we want to LIVE as non-smokers, then we need to THINK like non-smokers! Non-smokers don't have one, or a pack, whenever they really NEED it!
Right now, you have to make a decision... you are either a smoker or not. If you are, then don't pretend to be a non-smoker. And if you're not, then don't smoke! It's as simple as that! You can NOT smoke every once in a while and still be a non-smoker! It doesn't happen! So get that thought out of your head before you attempt another quit! As long as you think that you had a good reason to smoke that pack, then your addicted brain will come up with another "good" reason somewhere down the line!!!
Crave the Quit!
