Carlos, you got the NOPE thing down, as is evidenced by your post. You are the only one who can measure your commitment to NOPE. When it's at 100% you'll know. I hope it's now, dude. We're all here for you. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 98 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,944 Amount Saved: $539 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 1 Mins: 21 Seconds: 51

Glad you're back among us Carlos! I've had 4 attempts to beat cigarettes and am still hanging in there. I've decided this is my last attempt, I'm done smoking for good. You can too! It gets easier as time goes by, Ericon My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 172 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,032 Amount Saved: $1247 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 9 Mins: 20 Seconds: 40

Welcome back Carlos, I'm glad you know what it takes now, just stick to it and you will make it this time. There is no situation that bad that you have to smoke again. Smoking kills you and that is all. Need I say more? Good luck for you. xxxx My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 310 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,313 Amount Saved: 914.5 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 4 Mins: 34 Seconds: 45

Carlos, Welcome back to our boards! We are happy to see you return! Don't forget to rework the tools of the site, including the online quit program. Having a plan for triggers is always a good idea. Making sure you have alternative coping strategies, especially for life stressors makes it more likely you'll try those before going back to your old coping strategy of lighting up. We are cheering you on! Danielle _________________________ The SSC Support Team
