You are sooooo right that there is no good time to quit. I smoked for thirty years, twenty of those years I was looking for the right time to quit. On vacation, when I was with non smokers, when I was with smokers, at holidays, when I was 30, 40, 50. finally, like you I just got totally sick of it. And scared because a friend died. I sorta kinda quit and snuck a drag here and there. Then I found this site. I burned every butt. I went through the trash. And then I stopped and never looked back. No matter that my family was in crisis. No matter that my husband and I got into huge fights. No matter that I had to put my mom in an Alzheimer's unit. No matter ANYTHING, I decided, that life was throwing my way. I was quitting no matter what!!!!!!!!!! That was 16 months ago today. The freedom is wonderful, and now I wonder why I waited so long. You can do this. If I could, anyone can. Just stay close and take it one moment at a time. Best wishes.
