Mama... I really do care. I want to see everyone smoke free. I have seen your posts and watched your quit. Quitting is so hard. There are those that quit with relative ease and then there are those that have to fight for every moment they achieve smoke free. I am one of the latter. Quitting for me has been extremely emotional and a task I never really thought I would achieve. When I see someone hurting as I did, I just want to reach out and give them a hug and say "come on YOU can do this! I will help you as much as I can" So, that being said Mama...."come on... You can do this, I will help you as much as I can". I have been where you are and I know how hard it is and I know what dealing with those emotions are like. I know t he nicodemons call from the other room and I know what it is like to make it through just one minute at a time. Lean on the people here when you don't feel strong enough to do it on your own. That is what I still do. So....chin up, best foot forward....here we go.....The freedom from the enslavement of smoking is awesome! I am concerned about the duaghter in the home with the smokes. She would have to leave them outside and out of reach of me if she lived under my roof. The COPD reference is a good one. Now with all that said....Just do it. Lindsey No hand holding here. Just good solid support from those who have been able to do this for more than a day.
