hi all! I have tried to stop smoking several times in the past and this is the time that I feel most confidant and it seems as though I am dealing with my quitting much better. I have not had a smoke for about 9 days now and this website has helped me a great deal. I just registered today but for the past week I have been looking though everyone's messages and it has helped so much just to see others going through the same thing. I already feel better physically but mentally I have to constantly remind myself that I don't want to smoke. Thank you all for posting your feelings and coping mechanisms, very helpful My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/24/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 190 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 15 Mins: 6 Seconds: 40

Kat, I lurked around in the background for quite sometime before I made the decision to dig in and get my quit going. I am here because the members posts and support for one another was exactly what I needed to get where I am right this moment...and do I ever feel terrific! Congratulations on your 9 days quit! That is truly awesome! Hey Kat 9 days is awesome Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Safety in numbers indeed. Remember, it is our individual quit...yet we can hold hands through this. I have so many thousands of people that have come my way here to thank for keeping me resolute. My determination is stronger than ever because of them. You just got to pay that price. Others have paid it...you can/must too. Congrats' and lets do it together.
