patches or not

althea, At 19 days quit O can't see re-introducing the nicotine to your body. you would be starting cravings all over again. During this 3rd week, it seems the addiction works real hard at getting it's foot back in the door. Please keep strong, things really will start getting easier. (That said, if it's a choice bewtween cigs or the patch, I'd choose the patch.) Keep it going... ~lbugg~

if you have been cold turkey for 19 days then you certainly don't want to start putting nicotine into your system.....that would be about the same as smoking and then weaning off it again. Stick where you are....you could talk to a doctor about wellbutrin maybe?? Quitting isn't something you magically "complete" at some point.....it's more like a journey. You are still very young to this path...give yourself some time.....practice distraction tactics when thoughts of smoking try to take over. and be sure to get you a reward program set up....it will help you to keep focused and looking "forward" Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1477 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 59,108 Amount Saved: $8123.5 Life Gained: Days: 192 Hrs: 17 Mins: 58 Seconds: 17
