I know what you mean I brush more now than I did when I smoked! Not sure if it is normal, but I know mine passed for the most part. It is worth it and it will get better in a few days. I think it is more than worth a few pains, it's your life, It is priceless!! Keep going you can do this, you may need to get some help from your Dr. Just don't throw it away. Come and post untill you feel better. Dreamer, I did not personally have these feelings, but I am sure someone will come along that has. I have read in here that sleepiness is very common and everyone has different symptoms from withdrawall from nicotine. You are doing great and welcome to the SSC. I am sure someone will be able to explain these symptoms. When I first quit, I developed a taste of cooper on my tongue. I could never get an explanation for that either. Concerning not suffering anymore...please give it a few days. Day 3-5 are reported as the worst for most folks. It seems to me to be a simple matter of alternatives... 1) Suffer a little now to get through the first week or two, or 2) Suffer the rest of your life with COPD, etc. The dangers of smoking are just to vivid to not continue on with what you have started. Please do not throw in the towel. You and you alone would fail. Congrats' on quitting. Dreamer, Remember that everyone' body will react to quitting differently. What your feeling is normal :) Use lots of water to flush out all the toxins that are in your body and relaxation techniques to keep you calm. Whatever works is what it takes. You can do this, let us help :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
