oh my god too funny! so true the constipation is the best though! These side effects alone should keep you from smoking just knowing you would have to go through it again! I have had this also, it's very embarrassing at times. I was in a pub the other night and it was beyond a joke! I was going bright red each time and i even tried to blame my boyfriend :) Although we both knew who was to blame really. I never had this problem before but i'm certainly making up for it now :)I'm just hoping it passes soon! Hey Gang, I don't know when I have laughed so much, I have tears running down my cheeks... I had seen this on the forum but had never read it. I had no idea this had anything to do with my quit. No wonder my dog wants to go out side so much. He won't even sleep on my bed anymore. And I don't blame him. Look I am at 120+days, this has to stop soon, right?? Yes, it is so embarrassing especially if you are in a car with someone and can't stop the gas from coming out. I was always afraid it might be something else coming out.. This is funny, and then it's not. I would have never posted until I read this tonight.. I am still laughing. Thanks for the bump... I was having a very tough night tonight before I began to read about this problem. I haven't laughed so hard in a while. I'm sure the excessive farting is not fun but the humour in these replies have made my day and got me over a real rough spot so for that I say thank you (all of you)for the lol. If I run into this problem I'm sure my pickly little Bichon will pack her bag, race to the nearest shelter and throw herself on her knobby little knees begging to be let in. Nuka

I am so glad I am not the only one, but this is very bad, I'm sitting here at work and I have to keep running to the restroom. I was on a plan yesterday and my husband thought it was the old woman next to us. I hope this quits soon at times it can be very painful My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/6/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 851 Amount Saved: $233.8 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 20 Mins: 9 Seconds: 34

This is an unusual side effect of quitting: I seem to be farting ALOT. Does anyone else notice an increase in their "gas expulsions"? Or possibly know why this is occuring? Thanks for the help, BTW I'm completely serious.
