Haven't been on here in quite awhile. Just stopping in to say that quitting is hard, but once you get past the initial difficulties, it's all down hill.  I ran a marathon in January 2010 (Houston). I used to smoke 2-3 packs a day for 30 some years.  Now I don't even think about them.  All I can say for advice is that the quit is as hard as you make it out to be.  Be positive, and your quit will be easy.  Dwell on the bad, and your quit will be in jeopardy.

It is so great not to be wheezing, embarrassed of my addiction, standing out in the cold/snow to smoke, and most of all it is great that my life no longer revolves around how/when I can have my next smoke.  It's all in your attitude, when you are ready to quit, you will.  Congrats to all who have successfully quit and to those who never give up trying.
