Crave Baskets

Ah, I don't go to coffeeshops, the coffee served here is better :) A bur grinder, a French press pot and freshly roasted beans from Ravensbrew.com will get you the best that can be had. For any of you that may wonder, Greger is not considering tobacco usage now or anytime ever in the future. N.O.P.E. I'm just trying to broaden my horizons as far as oral substitution goes until the withdrawal and cravings are finished. I was also curious as to what everyone else has done to satisfy this need. Nozzly things huh? I'll give that a try, along with a few other very nice sounding additions from your crave baskets to mine! I dunno, kelly, I had to ask about 3 times before anyone would tell me. What do you think, guys? Should we tell her right off the tee? How about a hint? It can bust a crave no matter where you are, even if there's no balcony around. This is a good posts. I too borrowed a few straws from the coffee shop :eg: I use to cut straws the length of my cigs and held them and would take a drag off of them. Now I just take deep breaths. Sometimes just sucking on a salted pretzel helps. But the best is a long cold drink of water and deep breathing and coming here to read or post. 17 days is outstanding and you are beating the monster. Coffee straws ( I think you can buy tham at the grocery store but my dirty little secret is I stole them! Grabbed a mittful getting my morning coffee. I figured I had paid that store enough money in profits from smokes that they owed me!) and a water bottle with the nozzly thing. Those 2 things were absolutely my biggest crave busters. You have been doing such an amazing job of hanging in Greger, I know you can keep doing it. You are 17 days a non-smoker & also 17 days a non-dipper. You aren't going to go backwards now, are you? That would really deflate my souffle! Just goes to show the power of addiction, doesn't it? But rest assured there will come a day when you realize: Oh my gosh, I've gone all day without something in my mouth! Take it one day at a time, Greger, and it will come. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Rusty, this is a rough one for me because I also dipped, for years I have quite literally always had something in my mouth and that something was far worse than gum or candy. I smoked Camels and dipped Skoal at the same time! Scary and disgusting? Yes, but drug addicts do funny things. I seriously look forward to a time when all of that is far far behind me.
