Jersy,
Hang in there!! I've had those horrible cravings that are back to back with little time in between them. You have to hang on and white knuckle your way through them.
Are you drinking lots of water? Water really helps with cravings and cleans your system. Move around all that you can. I know you're at work but run to the restroom, go grab some water, etc. Don't sit there and focus on how bad you're craving. Keep yourself busy and it is true that b**ching out that nicodemon helps. I mean literally chew it out. When you do that, you're releasing sooo much tension and you're putting yourself back in the driver's seat.
I say stuff like: "Ahh, bite me!!" "Ahh, back off!!" You're wasting your time!! I'm a NON SMOKER!!"
Just say whatever makes you feel better, releases your tension, and puts you in charge. YOU are stronger than that nicodemon. Flush his butt out of your system too with a lot of water.
I'm going to post the breathing exercises just below. They really help. Practice them and make sure you push your tummy out when you inhale. Okay?
Deep Breathing:
1) Take a slow deep breath in through your nose to the slow count of five. Push your tummy out at the same time.
2) Slowly breathe out through your mouth to the count of 7.
3) Repeat this 3 times, as you feel yourself relaxing and the stress dropping away.
Tension Releasing:
1) Let go of the tension in your neck and shoulders.
2) Let go of the tension in your jaw.
3) Focus completely on your breathing, nothing else.
4) As you exhale, let your shoulders drop and let your body sink into wherever you are.
5)Repeat this until you feel relaxed and centered.
*It's a skill. You may want to practice several times a day to make it a normal part of your routine.
I posted the tension exercises too.
Keep posting, don't give up, we're here for you, and you CAN do this.
Stay Strong,
Tutti
PS You are right there around that 30 Day slump. That may be what brought this on. Just know that it DOES pass.
