Hello Marie. I'm chickenone and I just joined The Stop Smoking Center. I'm interested in the cruise you mentioned. Several years ago I learned of a stop smoking cruise, but haven't been able to find it again.

Hi, Like Tresa, I'm using Nicorette Inhaler. This is my fifth attemp to quit smoking. Previously, in the other 4 attemps, I used cold turkey method, Zyban, NRT gum, ..., and I failed! This time, although still at early stage (Day 15), I am more confident, and the Inhaler has helped me a lot to overcome those craving moments ... The craving I have so far is not "craving for cigarettes", but "craving for comfort". To overcome this, I tried: deep breaths, plenty of water, brisk walking in the open space, methol lozenges, ... If it's still unbearable, I use the NRT inhaler. One or two puffs are sufficient to calm me down! By reading a number of messages in this forum, I'm surprised that not many people have used the NRT inhaler ! What is the main reason, beside the costs, I wonder ? hey i dont think i would want to try such a device. i rather try to the nicotine patch because quit is just not physical its mental. how can you mental overcome a behavoral dependancy if you are still behaving in the same manner. with the patch is like you forget that your a smoker and all the habits that come with it. Has anyone used these products such as Endit? They supposedly mimic the feelings/ senstation of smoking, but without the nicotine or harmfull chemicals? Just wondering if they would help more than carrying this straw around or if they aren't healthy. Not sure on this one. I am doing OK BUT I have been on the patches. How I would have done without the who knows. Now I am getting jittery about stopping the patches in case I have a problem. I dont think anyone can answer your question but you.If it helps and it is OK with your Doctor then why not?
