Easy Choice

Oh Marivi!  If I could only be like you!  I've bumped my weight training up to 4 days per week and added an intensive cardio after each.  I'll let you know how it goes for me.  Truthfully, I'm excited about how tone I am right now.  Just have to beef up cardio to lose the 10+ lbs!  Cut my caloric intake but I keep brushing off the food journal so I could be doing better!
Lainey - I completely agree.  Quitting is the most important.  And I've found it comforting to come to grips with the fact that I didn't become a heavy smoker in a day, nor did I gain the weight in a day.  It takes time to change habits and we have to learn to live a different way.

Hi Laney
I agree with you. No smoking is our priority. The only thing I'm doing is adding 30 minutes to my workout and try to eat
healthy; I decided I don't want to kniw how much I weight; it was driving me crazy!!.
Good thing I love vegetables, and I don't like sweets. Great post, and thanks.

You don't want to quit because your worreid that you'll gain weight?
When you sit down and put some thought in to it, it really is an easy choice.
Quitting smoking may mean some weight gain to most of us, lets say 20 lbs (thats more than most quitters gain).
You'd rather keep on smoking?
What are the alternatives, COPD? Oxygen masks? Lung Cancer? Emphasema?  Death?
That makes the choice easy for me.
One step at a time! Quit smoking to 'save' your life first, then lose the weight later to increase your health!
