I did it. I got off my rear and got moving today. I just walked my girls to the bus stop, but the walk back is teacherous. We live on top of a big hill, and going down is one thing - going up would strike fear into the soul of any smoker.
I was winded when i got home, but I wasn't coughing, and I didn't need to sit down, and I wans't unable to talk.
Being soemoen who tends to dive into things headfirst in an all or nothing sort of thing, and thn come out of them a week later overwhelmed, bored, dissapointed, and giving up... i've decided to take baby steps.
So far I have:
- Cut my soda intake down by more than half.
- Trippled my water intake.
- Completely eliminated the chocolate candy that I was relying on when I first quit.
- Am starting a new addition to my morning routine in walking the kids to the bus.
I figure I quit smoking for long term health and to feel better on the short term. To try and crash diet to look like a movie star next week would be dumb, then.
I'm just going to take baby steps to bless my heart. Anyone wanna join me?
