Hi Beb and welcome to our little waist watchers group. We exercise which not only helps with weight, but helps us with our quit. I love to work out/exercise wearing my ipod. I find that I work out harder and enjoy it more. We write down or keep track of our calories throughout the day. My goals right now are at least 3 days at the gym (30 minutes cardio, 30 minutes resistance/weight training) and keep my calories under 1500. Hi all, While you lot are still asleep I've weighed in. Reluctantly, I might add 'cause my diet has been a bit patchy. And the bad news is: SSC Waist Watchers weigh in for chickstarr: 1st June Start Weight: 193 pounds 8th June weight: 191 pounds 15th June weight: 191 pounds Weekly Lost ZERO :confuse: Overall Lost: 2 pounds First mini goal: 181 pounds Mini goal reward: Facial Final Goal Weight: 154 pounds Humph. And I thought that the 8 pounds I gained in the first few weeks of quitting would leave as quickly as they arrived! Thanks Josie, I agree - I wouldn't give up all the benefits of being a non smoker. Losing weight and getting fit is just my next challenge, and it's not a new one either! I gained heaps of weight while I was smoking, but of course I was so unfit and lethargic because of smoking that I couldn't shift it. I lost 2 pounds when I weighed in. I was at 181.6 and now I am at 179.6. That means I only gained 4 pounds since I quit smoking instead of 6! LOL Step in the right direction, I hope ! Beb, Congrats on 4 days with no smoking ! :) Some of us are with Weight Watchers and get weighed in every week and others of us are only with Waist Watchers and weigh ourselves every week. :) IMO Losing weight is mind over matter, much like smoking. You have to always be aware of yourself and what you are eating. Be mindful. Remember to eat high fiber, low fat. Lots of fruits, only a little sugar. I keep a journal of what I have eaten every day. You can do this !
