hi Nonic, hi everybody. I'm back feeling quite guilty for I've been an occasional/social smoker since two years ago. After all, I thought that I'm out of addiction and can withdraw whenever I fancy. Well, the past two weeks I had a very hard time and became a smoker (even if I smoked not more than 3 per day)! Oh please don't shout at me. I'm in my first day of quitting and thought I should share my experience with you not only to ask for your support but also to underline that my smoking was truly linked to the state my anxiety in good and in bad.

I am doing a real Rumpelstilskin here...Thank you for shaking me awake.  I find it hard to believe that this post is nearly five years old.  That would mean that I am also five years older, imagine that...Thank you so much for remembering...Now if I can just drift off for awhile...Just kidding, since I am smoke free I have great reserves of energy...

Stay Well

Ray (that is my real name) I think...That would make me Raypelstilskin,

Is nicotine the only thing Im addicted to in tobacco? I know there is the psycological addiction and the oral fixation but there must be other drugs in there that my body craves making it sooo hard to stop. I m asking because now Im using Ecig and I still crave it because there is a small amount of nicotine but I think about smoking way less. Thoughts?

I still love this thread. I was re-reading the posts, and trying to click the "this was helpful" button, and finding that I'd already clicked it the last time around. Nonic's writing can be so soothing, while addressing some of the more complicated "stuff" that is tied up with the smoking habit. It's always a good read.

Thanks for bumping it up, Jim.
