Super attitude, Debby!  It is still seeing you through?
If something should happen to weaken or falter, just come back here and scream.  Somone will be at hand.

(HA!  Your scream is important to us.  Please stay on the line, and and an experienced and trained addict will take your call in the order in which it was received. Please stay on the line.)

Debbie,
I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday to help, but aren't the members here just the best support system ever?  It's you who ultimately makes your quit work and I can see by your attitude that you've got this one nailed.  It's not always easy but it's so do-able.  Stick close, keep your rewards and crave busters handy.  You're doing GREAT!

Hi Debby I am glad that it went better for you- you seem as though you really want this, and it can be yours it just takes a little work to get there.
I see also like me you are from the UK, and I am sure you'll agree since the smoking ban it has become more difficult to be a smoker and be sociable too as you have to keep excusing yourself to go feed the habit. I used to stand outside in all weathers with all types of people too and I am so glad I dont have to even consider that now.
So keep it up Debby you're doing great.

Hi Debby,
You are doing great! We all can identify with what you are going through. Its comforting to know if we just keep putting one foot in front of the other we can get our lives back. For some of us who started very young its a whole new life. If we go back we will never know what's around the next corner. The last thing I want to do today is smoke!
Hang in there! You do have a choice today!

Hi all.

Thank you all for your advice yesterday. The cravings lasted for about another hour after I placed my post then slowly faded.

Had a lovely soak in the bath and the hubby make me a hot cup of chocolate and I just curled up on the settee and read my book.

Had a reasonable nights sleep. Woke up full of energy and up to now had a good day!!!

Went for lunch with my sister-in-law and felt really proud when she looked at me and said "It's strange that you haven't got up to go out side for you usual ciggy, but I am so happy for you that your doing well ".  She has never smoked but knows how hard I have tried before and failed.

This time I won't fail, because this time I really want to get my life back and to be me. Not the person who has to keep working out when, where and how I can have my next ciggy.

I feel free, for the first time that I can remember, and I never want to lose that feeling!!!!!!!

The headache seems to be easing and I feel great!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and that your are all winning this battle.
