The Original Tuesday Post

Thanks for reposting this Rusty..and for the original post, Duffis. Yes, a positive attitude makes all the difference. As Mercy says, we GET to quit, not we GOT to quit. Once you approach your quit with that attitude it really isn't all that difficult. Well, a few difficult moments, but nothing that can't be handled. Boy, do I agree with this post. You can give into the process and accept there are going to be really bad moments, or you can choose to struggle against the quit and make it even more difficult. Sometimes I think that people make it worse so it gives them a bigger reason to smoke again. It's not easy, but we don't have to add to it by deciding it's going to be torture every second of every day. That's how I knew this quit was different. I made the decision and finally stopped struggling, choosing to accept the tough stuff and hold onto the belief that one day I would feel better. And I already have. Little by little.
