Well, I smoked my last cigarette at 7 am this morning. I came home changed and laid on the couch to watch tv and fall asleep. I just woke up a little bit ago. I made sure that everything was gone in the house and the van so, there is nothing to go search for. We will see what happens when I have to go to work tonight. I usually make a run to a fast food restraint for the floor, which allows me to smoke, plus I usually just go to my van and smoke outside. I will park in the Garage, and make sure I bring what I need for the night. I will not leave the building at all. I will pick me up whatever I need and I can make it through this first long day. I am writing this in a word document and cutting and pasting so I have a complete journal of what I have been going through.

Thanks everyone, I fell asleep again and woke up with a little stronger cravings. I know the junkie in me is talking saying how I want one put I can do this. I read some posts about how you miss it and it doesn't feel like "you" but now I understand that that is the transformation. I quit once for 6 months and I learned not even one. Thanks again for your support. I will probably write again when I get off work in the morning.

Hey Monica, This isn't easy for any of us. Keep a tall glass of water near by and drink it alot. Breath a deep breath when the smoking sensation comes on. Some people smarter than me will reply in a minute. Read the posts. Reply and tell them how your feeling. They can help you. The first 2 weeks are tough, but then it gets alot better... I have faith in you. DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE. Smoking never did a thing good for you. Get some straws to chew on, gum, and Breathe, breathe, breathe. Drink Water and wait 2 minutes...the crave will pass. Give yourself a mental pat on he back each time you get through a crave....with every minute you stay smoke free... your body is beginning to clean itself up. It will get worse before it gets better,...but it will get better in about three days... good luck auntdeb My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,685 Amount Saved: $156.75 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 15 Mins: 23 Seconds: 9

Monica, That's right. Keep fighting those craves and be sure to reward yourself often for staying smoke free. Keep strong. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team
