Breaking Free... i think that you hit the nail on the head, hon. I've seen people come in here that went back to smoking after a year or more off of it. That seems so rediculous, but when you read their posts, you see that they did something that they hadn't done since they quit, and they just instinctively grabbed the ciggie, and weren't even craving. You need to face those triggers, and change the memories associated with them. I feel this is very very important, and so is keeping in mind that years down the road, you could run into something that hasn't been dealt with yet, and you need to stay prepared for that.
bgaineshunter, I don't really have a maintenance plan mapped out yet, and I hope some other people come in here and share theirs. You know today, my husband called to make reservations at the hotel where we spent our wedding night. I said that's what i wanted to do for my 1 month no smoking celebration. I said we should get the same room, and he said "You know, that's a smoking room, and we're non smokers now." So, we got a different room - didn't want all that stinky.. eww. Though, the remarkable part of what my husband said is that he never was a smoker. I think that really drove home the fact that I could never go back.
