You're Dad is correct and also wonderful! How great to be able to be honest with him now! He sounds like he will be a great support and cheerleader for you. I'm happy for you. Duckie.. you are lucky to have a supportive dad like that! What a blessing. Hey, in my house, we have paper plates, and we eat tv dinners and sandwiches, even ravoli. One night just this last week I was so aggravated when I got in that my boys got Honey buns and breakfast bars for dinner. Hang in there, I think you are doing just great! Nothing funny about it, Duckie. Your Dad loves you very much. When we care a lot about someone, understanding, or at least acceptance, becomes easy. You made perfect sense. :) Honey buns and breakfast bars for dinner?!? Lady, will you be my mommy? :p Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 333 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,673 Amount Saved: $1265.4 Life Gained: Days: 62 Hrs: 4 Mins: 44 Seconds: 41

Duckie, your Dad is just fantastic. And he is so right about nicotine being the most addictive drug there is. Lab tests have proven that. The fog, the craves, the sense of loss, all the things we feel and agonize over when we quit are all signs of healing. Accepting them as such doesn't necessarily make them less, but it does help us to deal with them. TV dinners, paper plates, dirty house ... fabulous advice from an obviously very wise man. The fog will clear, Duckie. And the light will be sooo beautiful. You'll see. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 333 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,671 Amount Saved: $1265.4 Life Gained: Days: 62 Hrs: 4 Mins: 31 Seconds: 29
