Update on my Update

Well kids, I got the call today that I was dreading. To catch some of you up that haven't followed my posts. The main reason I quit is that I was scheduled to have back surgery this coming Friday. I went to the hospital last week to do the pre-admission tests. A result of that is that I had an irregular EKG and had to go to a cardiologist to get clearance to have the surgery. Well, Monday I went to have the stress test, a real EKG, an ultrasound and some more blood work.
I called this morning to see what was going on and was told that my cholesterol was WAY high but all my other labs came back fine, kidney, liver and prostate. Nothing was ever said about my chest x-ray. The bad part, one of the chambers in my heart is blocked. They can't say how badly right now. Friday I go in to have the camera run through the veins to see what's causing the blockage. I was told it could be minor enough that either a stint(?) or angioplasty would fix it. If not, I'm looking at open heart surgery. Maybe it will be minor and they can fix me while I'm there. I was told I may have to stay overnight if they can't do the work on Friday.
Through all this between yesterday and today I haven't smoked. I want to so badly but I won't give in to that.  Smoking really isn't an issue. Hell, I may not be alive Saturday
Sorry about this post, I had to vent.
