Daily, I am glad you have decided to stick around. You are going to see benefits right away. It will get so much better you will wonder why you waited so long to quit. I know I do. I am @ 200 days today and it is wonderful. I can still remember that first month and I still have thoughts but they are brief and As bad as it felt that first month it feels just that good on six months. Zipper back shrimp? what's that? You do deserve the treat! Good for you. Sorry too, that your wife is not there, I know it helps to have loved ones close by during these early days. Probably helps us, the quitters, more than it helps them! My husband had to go out of town the first few days that I quit. My misfortune and his good luck I think. I did miss him but, I had only myself to answer to. I could have cheated but, I knew that really, if I were to do this, and do it right, I had to do it on my own. When he came back home, I could say that yes, I quit and I have not had a cigarette in _____ days. I really felt proud of myself and I know he was too. so proud of you DL, you are doing a great job! Thanks to you Veterans! I'll buy myself a bag of zipper-back white shrimp and eat the whole 450grams on my own with a mix of mayo-and-milk-and-chili sauce dip. Mouthfuls of creamy red shrimp ... should take me at least 30 minutes if I savour each one dip by dip.... wish my wife was here... or maybe not; she likes shrimp too... heheheheheehehe Patrick loves you people way much.... Hey you old buffalo chip glad to see you've decided to quit that awful habit. As you can see I'm no kid either and I managed to get it done and so can you. There's lots of benifits to being a non smoker and it only takes a couple of weeks before you start enjoying them . Best regards and good luck. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 306 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,508 Amount Saved: $3,060.00 Life Gained: Days: 74 Hrs: 11 Mins: 39 Seconds: 22

Yes it will DL. I can't tell you enough how to hang on and stick with it, because it will get 100,000% better, as you go. Fight your best fight, because in less than 90 days you will know what I mean, and that is NOT a long time! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 321 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,025 Amount Saved: $3,386.55 Life Gained: Days: 42 Hrs: 3 Mins: 37 Seconds: 40

DL, I am so glad that you are being strong! Trust me, it gets sooooo much better. Pat yourself on the back every day that you don't smoke, don't focus on "when" you will feel better. Just take this one day at a time and be PROUD of yourself for doing something so HARD! p.s. what are you going to do with the money you have saved up already? Hi Folks, This is Day 3 of my Quit and I'm doing well. For some odd reason the withdrawal has confined itself to irritability and social anxiety... very weird... I left my niece's Baby party yesterday afternoon in a rush after an hour and three quarters as i was getting rigid with all the noise, music, bellowing and braying that goes on at these gatherings... I had to go (duty) but I knew it was going to be hell on wheels... Ahhh... nevermind... it'll all ease off after a week or so... I hope... Thanks for the support and the caring... it all makes me feel very strong!
