I'm not sure about this one. As a smoker, I controlled my emotions with nicotine and didn't SEEM as emotionally unstable as I was as a new ex-smoker. Now, I'm still learning to keep my emotions in check, but after I quit, I was a disaster when it came to emotions! So emotionally unstable as a smoker? I don't think so... I think I may have been a little more emotionally stable, albeit it was an unhealthy way of controlling my emotions. Now, I'm getting better, but I'm still not sure I would describe myself as "emotionally stable." Not yet anyway.
