Hi stickin to it :) Thanks for posting that. It's the realization that saying no and sticking to it is a decision I'm able to make is what's got me through my quit this far. I still need all the positive reinforcement I can get, and reading your thoughts has made me stronger and more convinced I can be in this for the long run. Well said! I agree wholeheartedly that it's our choice and never anything but our choice. And now we're choosing NOT to ever light another one! Thank you for being you. Yes I am getting close to a year and have many, many friends that are 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20 years out. Let this be you and I as well. So I leave this message at your feet. Open it, read it and let it be your last and final quit. Don't keep amazing me, after all if I can stick to it you can as well. Do not be the person who has quit for many, many months or years and somehow gets caught up smoking again; do not do this. Once you quit, you are quit and that is a final. You can not allow yourself to be caught up in an exceptional moment and think that having a smoke will somehow fill a void, even after 11 or 15 years; it is non-sense, so don't make sense of it. Your assumption that, for the moment, I think it may help me, but how are you going to feel the next day when you have blown your quit. Your only choice is not to pick up that cigarette ever again NOPE If blessed with the quit, continue with it, and be grateful that you have it. Help others to arrive at your destination and conclusion that, to light up can be a conscious choice, not just an overwhelming habit.
