Way to go, Chicken Noodle! The spacy feeling should pass pretty soon - at least by about day 4 or 5 it was gone for me. I'm having new issues, mostly anger and general malaise but that seems to be fading some, too. One thing, one day at a time for all of us! QM, Thanks so much for your confidence in me! I plan to keep going strong! How about you? How's your day going? Great, I hope! I've just learned so stinking much here in the last couple of weeks that I truly believe the saying, "Knowledge is Power!" And you people here on SSC know quite a lot! And thanks to all those before me who have shared their wisdom on so many posts for so long! I've gone quite a ways back just reading! It's incredible to watch someone's journey and heed their advice, even if it wasn't really intended for me. Sorry, got a little windy and almost teary eyed there! Love you guys and gals! Thanks everybody! Stormy, I've got about 4 1/2 hours until the completion of my 6th smoke-free day! I'm just staying real busy, drinking gallons of water, writing in my journal and reading lots of posts here! This quitting smoking thing is quite a ride! I'm hanging on for all I'm worth! Woohoo! Hi QuitMeister, I've begun my fifth day! Can you believe it! I didn't get to post any last night except to put out a call for a mentor then I read the new posts. After that, I was DONE for they day! I'm learning every day that those habit thoughts intrude on almost everything but I've been working through them as best as I can. How are you doing QM? You must be thrilled with 2 weeks quit!!! Congratulations to you! And thanks for checking in on me! I appreciate your kindness. Good morning! Thanks for asking, sillyme! Day 3 is looking pretty good! I'm sitting here reading posts, sweating like I've run a triathlon and my thoughts are really jumpy. You know like you're thinking about one thing but before you finish that thought, your brain has raced on to about two or three other things? I sure hope that's normal. Anyway, got my whole day planned out but I may have to add a couple of showers if this sweating doesn't stop soon! Do you think the sweating could be because I've been drinking so much water? Okay, can't concentrate well enough to explain it any better, please bear with me. I'll check in later but for now I'm here sweating and trying to catch up with my thoughts! LOL Hugs, Debbie My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 68 Amount Saved: $11.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 46 Seconds: 13

Hi everybody! Well, I'm about one hour away from a successful day two and I could just about bust with happiness! I did my chores this morning but have spent the majority of the afternoon glued to the screen reading every post I could! I'm doing okay except for the extremely dry throat and a "spacey" feeling. I'm chugging the water, chewing sugarless gum and keeping busy doing anything I can! Except smoke. More than anything today, reading and self-talk have gotten me through! You are all a wealth of knowledge for me, thank you for having gone before me! Hugs, Deb My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/26/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 56 Amount Saved: $7.5 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 6 Mins: 23 Seconds: 49
