This really is an amazing thread- it is downright weird to look back at the 30 day time frame of our quits. :gasp: Thanks for this, Phillip; it will provide a lot of insight into the process for so many people for so many years to come. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 727 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 29,080 Amount Saved: $6,543.00 Life Gained: Days: 116 Hrs: 21 Mins: 19 Seconds: 8

Hi Phillip, Wow! I think you need to start RD Man The Quit and all the Stories II. It took a LONG time for this to load and my computer rarely has problems loading a page. So glad to "see" you and that you're doing well. Hope you're having a lovely holiday season. Thanks for that post Phil. It made me bow my head for a moment of quiet reflection for those who have been lost to various cancers/heart disease brought about by smoking. I miss each and every one of them. deb My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 600 Amount Saved: $175.50 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 11 Mins: 46 Seconds: 57

Posting on December 1st a day of solemnity and remembrance for all that have passed, for all those that are suffering and for all those that are looking for hope. In all of the studies that I have read the chances of quitting and having particular (unnamed on this forum) other factors going on in life are very much stacked against the quitter. So those of you that have those factors going on please don't give up hope. Quitting smoking can be done. The quality of life that comes as a result of quitting is astounding. Fighting the fight against addiction to nicotine and being supported to choose life is a miracle that can be won. Best wishes and blessings to you all. Peace and hope for the future. All this from one smoker who chose different and has come out on the other side with a new lease on life. Peace Phillip My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 652 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,300 Amount Saved: $5,542.00 Life Gained: Days: 106 Hrs: 6 Mins: 51 Seconds: 48
