My life is getting worse

Dear s5mishel, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling this way. Have you told your doctor about the way you are feeling? It is tough when you have depression alone, but when you have physical ailments as well, it makes it harder to cope. Just try and do what you can, perhaps have a friend come over and see you, a little social interaction may help. Find things within your capability that give you some satisfaction and distraction. I am 27 and have been depressed since I was around 12, but didn't seek help until 2 years ago. I was wondering how people cope when things just get worse? It all started last year when I hurt my wrist in May2003 and had to go to the night shift(which means that I couldn't be with my 8 yr.old -I,m a single parent), then I injured my back and I'm told to stay home for a couple of wks., and I have to be off work for another month to have surgery on my wrist. Any suggestions on how to cope with the lonelyness and frustration of not being able to do the everyday things in life?
