Scott, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Josie ___________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team.

Good Morning all; My name is Scott and I have been taking Celexa for the past 4 years now. It was a blessing until recently. For some reason, over the last few weeks I have started to slip back into feelings I haven't had for years. I can't put my finger on why I feel this way again, especially since the medication worked so well for me. I don't know if I need to try a new med, or if I need a larger dosage. I'm curious as to whether this kind of thing happens to others. I have been feeling depression free for years, and now, out of the blue, I'm back where I started. Very frustrating, and confusing. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Jonathan: It is a good thing you've discovered your depression. Trying to pretend you aren't depressed is not good for you. One of my children is a recent college graduate and she is going through a depression of her own. Please seek therapy for your depression. I know many people are reluctant to ask for help, but the right therapy can work wonders. I have had depression for almost forty years and have started therapy five months ago. It's complicated, difficult and frustrating. However I am learning the causes (besides typical abuses)and the effects of my illness. I have discovered control I never knew existed. I am learning how to tell the difference between unrealistic and rational thoughts. You may even find some help through your school. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers.

Hello everyone. I felt the need to register with this site because I feel that it is time to start facing up to the fact that it is alright to not be alright. I have never been clinically diagnosed (besides by my sister who has a psychology degree). I know there are certain issues that I need to deal with ie. recent divorce of my parents (I am 22). I realize now thatI wasn't happy even when my parents were together, at least not truly happy. I always put on front that because I really had no reason to not be happy. I was athletic, had a lot of friends, always had a girlfriend, and a decent family. But there was always something just nagging at me. I struggle with some self-esteem issues, I finally have accepted that. Being a college senior and trying to find a job also takes its toll. I've been depressed now for the last 3 months and I am just tired of it. I want to get better and need to get better. My 5 year long girlfriend broke up with me because she couldn't take my constant up and down mood swings for no apparent reasons. Thank you for listening. Keep me in your prayers.
