Ativan withdrawal and being free of it

Hi ljg4ljg4,

Regarding the side effects of your medication and deciding to come off of it, it is best to consult with your doctor or pharmacist. As Davit said, if you do a search through the old posts you will likely find discussions on medications and other members experiences. Check those out and check in soon.

It's not that simple. You left out a lot of information. Like how much and how long and what other medication are you on. Also, have you used any of the other Benzos.

In the mean time look at the posts from the last few days.  I kicked it after max dose for four years. It can be done but it is not pleasant. It is easier to switch to xanax and withdraw from it.

I am trying to get off of Ativan and the withdrawal symptoms (which are very frightening-anxiety & panic) and I want to find out how other people have accomplished this, and how they got back to a normal life.
