Enjoy your garden, I have almost three feet of snow on mine and an eight foot snow bank in front of the green house. Still snowing. We are having a late spring.
And I am sooooooo tired of winter.

Davit,
Thanks for the info on the meds. It does put my mind more at ease. As you know I am a little med phobic.
I tried progressive before and can't stand them either. I have been wearing bifocals for about 20 yrs now and do well with them. I just needed to up the power again so I decided to get some reading glasses made for very up close work..The trifocals will help with my midrange vision also if I have them made..I wish I lived where I could have some ducks and geese like I saw at the lake this week..They are such interesting and beautiful animals. Anyway I should be on the mend soon doing everything I love to do and then some. Thats the plan for now. Tomorrow I have plans to work the soil for the vegetable garden. It should be a very good day. I hope you have a good day tomorrow also. Take care.

I periodically take Cozar, usually when I am in the hospital because of a combination of salt in the food and stress. It is the same as Losartan but without the diuretic because the diuretic does not go with one of my arthritis meds. My brother uses it with no problems and he wears glasses.
It works by dilating the blood vessels and reducing water retention. He likes his salt. So far I am getting by on just a beta blocker and some times Lasix. Staph infection gives me edema. A lot of people take Losartan. It doesn't make it hard to work like the beta blocker. Beta blocker doesn't allow pulse to increase when it needs to, I have to pace myself on my beta blocker or sit down a lot. I'm near sited but it is getting to be time for reading glasses. I only need glasses to drive, but have worn them all my life. Interestingly I can not stand progressives and I have two pair. I knew a welder that had his lenses put in backwards so the bifocals were on the top.
He used to look over his glasses. I think the reason I have trouble with progressives is that my neck is too stiff. Good luck, hope to see you back doing anything you want to soon.

Here for you,
Davit.

PS. I had a goose like that and his picture is on the label of my gooseberry wine.

Davit,

I was reading about that online last night after I looked up the new bp med.. Losartan-hctz can cause blurred vision and dizziness when you first start taking it and a lot of other nasty side effects. I just had my eyes checked last Saturday and am waiting for a new pair of reading glasses to come in and if they are good then I am going to order a pair of trifocals.  Anyway I have decided to wait until after I get all my new glasses to start meds again..I really want to give the new glasses a fair chance. I really do want to be able to see better so I can read and sew more..It seems like when it rains it pours that for sure. Anyway things are going pretty good for me now so I sure don't want to rock the boat this week. Its really boils down to what makes a person happy in life I think..Another one of those quality of life issue thats for sure..I am sure you can relate to this as we both are getting a little older...Thanks for responding Davit..I like knowing you're here and value your friendship as always.

Certain medication affects your focal point. I have glasses I can't wear because of Ativan at the time of my prescription.

Today has been a good day for me..I have been working in my yard mowing, thatching, trimming and such..I didn't drop dead like I thought I might..I can still work in the yard and it feels good..I have decided that my new blood pressure meds can wait until later next week after I pick up my new glasses and get my vegetable garden planted..Starting on new meds can affect your vision and make it a little harder to plant vegetables..So for today I am in control and doing what I want to do. The choice is really mine.  If I drop dead working in my yard I will have died happy and thats what really matters in life..For me it is all about the quality of my life not the quantity of it..I am not afraid to live my life to the fullest anymore..

I went for a walk at the lake yesterday and have been thinking about going again all day today..The air was cold crisp and invigorating.  So off I go to spent some time in nature again today..I saw a two pairs of beautiful white geese yesterday. Maybe I will see them again today..This time I am taking my camera along...
