spacey feeling

20 years ago 0 109 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Jaci. Yes I used to get that spacey feeling all the time. I took a program similar to the one on this site and one of the suggestions I got from that was to "go with the feeling". One day while I was driving I got that spacey feeling and was at a light. I went with it and the feeling left very quickly. By going with it I kind of let my eyes go out of focus and just kind of let my body 'detach' so to speak for a few seconds and it passes a lot quicker than fighting it. Hope this helps.

Hi. I am new to the support group. My name is Jaci and I'm 20 years old. About 3 weeks ago I had my first panic attack. Then the next day I had one and then the next day I had one. It was vicious cylce. It consumed all my thoughts. For the past 2 weeks I have been listening to Midwest Center for Stress tapes. It's expensive but it really helps. But anyway, I still feel panic all the time. All day long unless I'm working cause my mind is thinknig about something else. But other than those times, I get this spacey-detached feeling. My psychologist says it's normal to feel that way and that it will get better. But somehow I don't believe her. Anyone else get this feeling? Like my vision feels weird and I feel spacey. It's scary. The Midwest Center tapes help, but just haven't taken full effect yet. If anyone else has this problem please write back and let me know how you handle it. And I should tell you that to fall asleep, Sleepytime Tea (all herbal) really helps. OK please write back someone. I feel alone in this.
