Quote of the Day Part Two

Funny, made me smile.

Hugs

I have trouble with this, and it may just be me. I do not have lists and goals. I know what has to be done so I just do it. No time line either. There will either be time or there won't. Not that I don't have plans for the future, they just are not carved in stone.

Vincent is wrong, impulse can lead to more serious things. Not that one should base their life on it but the opposite might be to never do anything. One could easily spend so much time planning it never gets done.

Hey,

Just remembered, back in the 80's, my boyfriend's friend had a band called Van Gogh's Ear.  Well, before I get permanently booted off of the site for overkill on dead Artist jokes, I'll try to control myself.

Have a good day!

Shari,
The Louvre, a famous French art museum, had a foiled bank robbery, where a van was parked full of Van Gogh;s stolen art overnight, 1 block from the museum, where it stopped suddenly.

Apparently, the driver did not have enough gas to make the van go.

I suppose if you do a series of small things, don't forget that extra can of gas

Re:  Vincent Van Gogh's quote.  I hope that's not true, because I'm an impulsive person.  Well, since he revealed something about me, I'm going to reveal his family tree.  His Dizzy Aunt...Verti Gogh, the brother who ate prunes...Gotta Gogh, the brother who worked at a convenience store...Stop N Gogh, the grandfather from Yugoslavia...U Gogh, his magical uncle...Where Diddy Gogh, his Mexican cousin...A Mee Gogh, the nephew who drove a stage coach...Wells Far Gogh, the constipated uncle...Can't Gogh, the ballroom dancing aunt...Tang Gogh, the bird lover uncle...Flamin Gogh, the fruit loving cousin...Man Gogh, a sister who loved disco...Go Gogh, and his niece who travels the country in an RV...Winnie Bay Gogh.  I saw you smile...there ya Gogh!

Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.

Hi Davit,
What's beneath this is probably my core value of not feeling good enough.  What I notice is that I'll reach a goal, and then forget that or downplay the success.  There's a mix of things there, but it's too late to get my mind going, since going to bed is important too, and getting restorative sleep.

Interesting question. My life is neither perfect or not, it just is. And I live it and with it. You don't know what you have till it is gone so enjoy it before it is, because one day, it will be gone. And for Gods sake (or yours) don't compare it to days gone by. You can never go back.

The ground was white this morning but it melted. Making flower beds and fixing equipment.

Our water is free but electric water pumps cost nine cents an hour to run. That can be 50 cents a day in the summer to water the gardens. (big gardens)

Spring was in the air until we had some cold, confusing the robins, squirrels and pigeons...but the seasons come and go and the sun goes up and comes down.

I find it difficult to give myself a break, since life seems not to have given me much of a break.

I had to think ahead to summer now, since the porch will be redone.  I was so overcome by a tree hitting it last spring, that I get shocked by small things, let alone these other things.

I suppose that I think the rest of the world  just has life coast along, but it's probably not true?  Why would a person, with a perfect life, visit this website?

For the record, I did take it easy today, and will slowly get out of the fetal position to resume my version of "normal".  I'm going to put on my imaginary "Lulu's" and invite mom to a yoga session, with my library-borrowed DVD.

Hey Hugs,

I had to look up the word indolent which is lazy, for the rest of us who are too indolent to look it up - ha ha ha.  My related question is...is it spring where you are and is your weather getting warmer in between your cold days?  We went from 40 degrees F to 90 degrees F, overnight, so the weather has made me feel indolent, like the lazy, hazy days of summer song.  I think the spring makes us sleepy and also allergies can cause a tired feeling.  Also, after you've had two back to back dental appt.'s; that is draining in and of itself and it can take a few days to recover.  So, I think you're okay and can give yourself a break :)
