Quote of the day

Quote of the Day:
There is something good in all seeming failures. You are not to see that now. Time will reveal it. Be patient.
- Sri Swami Sivananda

Yeterday's quote was from a great painter.  Having a difficult life like Vincent Van Gogh, but being so respected shows that time will reveal greatness.  And time brought great happiness to many people who enjoy his craft today

that impulse with the ear thing was not too brilliant.  An impressionist saying it is small things brought together that makes something great... seems logical to that mind set.  Why anyone would use a VanGough quote to motivate is beyond my understanding.... what a tragic and depressing life he lived!

Hmm

I totally disagree with this quote. Vincent might have used this for his life but it is too restricting. Great things can happen on an impulse. If you get to a fork in the road and you know nothing about either, you are going to have to make a decision based on you. You can't spend a life time examining whether to do something. Just do it. Of course this is just my opinion. But it has stood me well and I have not had to do too much correcting. Not that you shouldn't research things when you can.

Quote of the Day:
Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.
- Vincent Van Gogh

Since I'm attempting to use emotions more uniformly, this is especially inspiring to a late bloomer

Quote of the Day:
Others have done it before me. I can, too.
- Corporal John Faunce

This reframing shows how any ordinary person copes with the daily struggles we struggle with.  It's so true I find, that just comparing to another can be as helpful as not helpful, when we often use negative self-talk to discourage the wonderful lives we could leave.  Very often we are our own worst enemies, so why not support ourselves?

Quote of the Day:
If there exists no possibility of failure, then victory is meaningless.
- Robert H. Schuller

This means that things are relative, and managing our "fear goggles" is important.

Quote of the Day:
The first requisite for success is the ability to apply your physical and mental energies to one problem incessantly without growing weary.
- Thomas A. Edison

Difficult things become easier with practise, so that success, instead of the expectation and negative thought that failure may occur

I looked at the "quote of the day's" author up on google, and was inspired by her motivational speaking about dreaming and encouragement.  She also touched on dealing with doubt, using a great analogy with an elastic...

I enjoyed signing in and reading the quote for the day for myself in my toolbox this morning..It gives me a incentive to sign in every day....of course I could read it in the forum and not sign in at all but that would not be the same...
I found a web site that will sent you a inspirational quote every morning to your email..I like the idea of that..Something positive that I can open up every morning and start my day with..
