Listing things for Success

Thanks Josie,
I think what the trainer was trying to help me with, was my confidence.  He wanted me to trust myself, and I had a rough start at that job, for many reasons, which were outside of my control, or anybody who would be in that situation.  Lists were my way of doubting myself.  There is a happy medium I think, and as Sunny says, aids like smartphones, etc.

Although I failed at that job, I excelled at the other job, so that I was in the top 5% in large company.  My new mentor is now very successful, and just wrote a book.  I've been trying to reach hime to thank him, although it's a long time ago.

Aren't memorable moments important to cherish, so those who created them for you can create a cycle of "goodness" rather than negativity, etc...

hugs,

Plenty of life to live!  Never feel you will be judged, we are here for support!

Lists can be an important part of your goals.

Big or small, the list is what you make it.

Hi Sunny,
By "extra stuff" do you mean those little things that we take for granted, but are part of the bathroom like the towel ring, the extra toilet roll holder, the mirror, the vanity...

By the way, and this what I like about this site, I almost feel safe asking for clarification...I'm so afraid of judgement, I'm learning too late in life...maybe there's some life left to live

Hi Hugs:  Remember when you were renovating and organizing? and you wondered about all the extra stuff sold for it - this smartphone reminds me of the same problem.  These things are made to help us.  Don't think about your weaknesses - that's a negative - instead think of it as a helper in your life, that's a positive.  That's how I would think of it.  Might have been a status symbol in the early days of its invention, now it's a necessity for some.  Of course, we'll always have those who have the need to look busy and important, but that's their problem, right?  It'll be a very handy gadget.  I figure if you need it, why not?

I wonder if others find they can list things, and to what degree this is limited?  I find I can't get much done, and can't finish or forget about some things.

Once a colleague stated that I can't write everything down, and that message of trusting myself is something I've struggled with forever

How could we duplicate the human imagination...maybe I finally need to cave in and buy a smartphone

The way I look at it, it's more to compensate for my weaknesses rather than a status symbol or gadget
