I did this exercise in a voice training course, where we were dealing with performance anxiety. We were asked to select celebreties or others who we admired, and imitate their successful behaviour. It was inspiriing!
My best advice, although it was at work, was to "aim high". The trouble is that now I find I have to aim lower...since my energy isn't the same, and I have many more responsibilities with caregiving. So I use the "SMART" model(the acronym for planning)
