What helped this past week was realizing that I am not alone at work. I have 2-3 other staff members doing the same job as me so I don't have to control everything. I felt alone for the past few weeks. We are also having a staff meeting this week so we can figure out ways to make our job easier and safer. If we don't make changes I think 2-3 of us are leaving which would leave only one person. We also have to figure out our rules, how far we let behaviour go before we kick kids out.

I wish I could tell you how to do the "oh I'm sorry" method of child care for unruly children but it would not be allowed here, maybe you will figure it out. You are going to have to learn to be clumsy. It doesn't sound as if they will respond to kindness. Maybe a combination of both.

It seems no one is going to want this job. I wish you could leave it for a more stable job in that field.

There are probably ways of coping but I fear the situation will never be good.

I saw my therapist today and we talked about the panic triangle. It ia a three pointed triangle with "situation" (trigger) at one corner, "thought" (anxiety) at another and "panic" at the third. Any one can influence the other. In other words although it usually goes situation, thought, panic it can go the other way. Panic, thought, situation. In other words having a panic attack can influence a thought which can influence the situation that originally caused it. The triangle can also go the other way. The situation can cause panic which can influence thought. (I had a panic attack so now I will have another.) Changing any one will change the others. 
Since you can not change the situation, you are stuck with thought, or panic. Thought being the anxiety part of the equation you might be able to reduce it with relaxation or positive self talk.
I'm so sorry you can not change the situation by getting out of this job.

I have these symptoms because I am anxious to go to work. I work in an environment that has a lot of conflict and the chance of being injured. I get injured each day at my job. It sounds weird and unlikely but I work in a drop in style family daycare and the kids are so out of control that they hit, bite and kick the teachers. The room is small and we have 18 kids at a time so it is chaos. We have tried so many methods and nothing is working. I do not look forward to going to work anymore. I am tired of being hurt and jumped on. I am also tired of being taken advantage of. The parents get free daycare but they have to stay on the premises. I am really thinking I messed up by entering into this field in the first place. I really hate myself for it as now I cannot afford to retrain and it is a hard time to be out of work. I guess I hate being stuck. I feel like there is no hope and no way out. I feel trapped.

I just need to find something positive and a way out of this situation.

As for managing my symptoms, I don't. I get them and just push through them. I am not sleeping well anymore, my back is full of pain from the job, I binge eat and then don't eat and I try to think of something else. I don't really know what to do.

In general yes panic attacks occur suddenly but this does not mean there is no reason for them. Some times it is so buried it seems like there is no reason. It is nice to know the reason but it is not needed to stop them. It is just easier. Basically the treatment is the same whether you know the trigger or not. The trigger opens the thought and the thought opens the panic. You can treat the thought but it is easier to treat the trigger. 

Say something about getting up and going to work bothers you so you think (anxiety) you are going to panic, or you do. Now if you know what it is you can challenge it. Alternatively you can challenge the thought (anxiety) that you are going to panic. Or if it is too late you can challenge the panic. Same process for all three. See the ten questions to challenge.

It is a more complicated process than this with other things such as relaxation skills, coping skills, acceptance and journaling. But basically this is it.

To get back to your original question. You can cause panic attacks with thought but yes the majority and the worst seem to come out of the blue and are unexpected. The unexpected ones are the worst because it is easier to challenge the trigger than the reaction. Full blown panic attacks are so confusing there seems nothing to challenge. Journaling works best here.

In general, a panic attack occurs suddenly or unexpectedly.  Like Davit, I'm curious to know why you get symptoms of panic attacks every morning?  How have you been managing your symptoms?

First some definitions 

Anxiety is the thought behind panic. You can be anxious without panicking. Panic is the reaction to anxiety. They can come together and be hard to tell apart. Panic attacks are when you have no contol of the panic and can't shut it off. Anxiety and panic are normal and not a problem. Attacks are. Example. Some thing that bothers you about work is anxiety, running to the bathroom often before going or sweating is panic (reaction) an attack is when the anxiety is so bad you fear going to work so it won't let you. An attack or in other words fear so bad you can not move your feet to go. You can have an attack, shut it down and go and still carry over the symptoms. This is back to just panic. Or you can go and not want to but have no symptoms. This is anxiety. If it is consistent and you carry it with you it is an anxiety attack.

Why are you getting symptoms before work? Know this and you will know how to stop it.

I was wondering if panic attacks are only unexpected or can they be like anxiety attacks about certain situations. I have all the symptoms of panic but I know when and why they are happening, usually before work.
