Getting to Know Members - How do I spend my time?

12 years ago 0 517 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I like to make my day a routine and I usually watch a lot of movies on cable in the morning. I also watch TV. Then I do the daily chore if I am up for it. After that I go online and then do my daily exercise if I'm up for it. When my support person comes home, I usually go for my daily drive if I'm up to it. I might cook depending on how I feel and then I usually study. Most of the time I'm by myself at home until support person comes home, which is better for me because there's less pressure. On some Mondays I go to the library.

As I am not working and I have already finished my master degree program I spend most time alone at home which is not good for me. I have planned coming back to work (which I took a license last year after the nervous breakdown) next October.

I am with my wife at nigh and weekends and sometimes with my brother and mother.

Hello again,

If you are just joining us feel free to post your thoughts and say hello.  These threads are a great place to start.  The purpose of these threads is to get to know members as individuals and not as their disorder or addiction. After all, you are much more than your disorder!

This week’s question may have a lot of guilt around it but I want you to be honest with the support group and yourselves; put the guilt aside.  Keep in mind we are all growing and learning together now let’s just look without attachment.  This week’s question is:

How am I spending my time?  What do I do, who am I with, where am I, etc.?  What does a typical week look like?

This question will lead into next week’s question but it is also interesting to discuss in its own right.

Ashley, Heath Educator
