It is nice to know that there are others that feel that way to.  I know it is something that you have to do.  It is distracting to feel that way but as most of you said, find something for yourself to do.

Angel80-I am on antidepressants that also work with anxiety & it does help!

Davet-Oh my goodness.  Sorry to hear you are having a bad day.  Hope you are finding something to do.

Flint-I will work on not beating myself up on those days.

I suffer from a GAD, and recently went through a job change in the past year. I feel like i'm grieving and too have horrible down days. My GP and I are working to get on an antidepressant that can deal with both anxiety and depression, but i just feel tired and down. I wish I could just feel better. Sometimes i wonder if the antidepressants are making me worse!

Hi Diane

Like today, lol. Let me echo Flint. I feel the same way. Today I feel like I'm wrapped in saran wrap. For no obvious reason either. It will pass it always does. Today I relax and putter around the house.

Here for you,
Davit.

Hi Dianne,

I certainly have days when depression gets really bad and it's difficult to do anything. On those days, I just try to be kind and gentle with myself and find things to do around the house to distract myself and usually go to bed early.

I try not to beat myself up about it and make myself feel guilty. Everyone has their bad days and setbacks and sometimes you just need a day or two to let it all out and recharge.

Take care,
Flint

Dianne,
I was affected for years after a a simple breakup with an acquantence, crying so my chest hurt at times.  Another recent loss was leaving my job for caregiving, and was really out of sorts for a year, and am still trying to adjust.   Fortunately I am getting help, but it's taking time.  Spring is around the corner, with the fear of intimacy & the possibility of loss.
