A request to read my blog

Andie,

To start your blog just look for Blog on the forum page it's under our avatars on the forum page on the right side of the page.
Click on the blue tab that says Launch its right next to blog... Blogs are not private. When someone clicks on your avatar or name they can read your profile and blog if the choose to.  They can leave a comment if they like and you can decide which comments will be read by everyone.  There are setting with your blog that allow you to do this and other things if you want to.
Hope this helps....

How do I set up a blog?  Is it just for us or can the general public read my journal?

I can't sleep yet (which is another story - I don't like not having control, so I wait until I can't keep my eyes open anymore),

I have repetitive thoughts in my head and I thought I'd like a place to go to to write to take my mind off it. That's why thre are so many posts in the evening from me.  I love my quiet time here. There are many postings to read to bring me up to speed

What is this phenomenon -exp - a renter called and left a mssg in a condescending tone.  I'm glad it was a mssg because I would have attacked back.  So now, I practiced what I will say back to her, so far so good. But then I continually repeat it in my head over and over and continually hear her tone of voice.  It started to set off an anxiety attack, I have atleast minimized it to a 3-4, which is good for me.  But why do I do that ? IS it part of OCD, fear, please explain - if I can first understand it intellectually, I can then internalize it and figure out how to get out of it. Or you can tell me how to get out of it.  Self talk doesn't seem to work. I used to write the same affirmation line after line pages after pages and I used to keep a notebook, but I can't seem to sit still except on the computer. It happens alot.  There were times because it would upset me so much that I would run to my office at all hours just to settle my mind.with a solution. It's too late to leave a mssg on her phone and I wouldn't want to get into an arguement anyway.

Thanks,

Dizzy,

I left you a response on your blog. I don't know if it will help but I want you to know that I am here listening and I do care.
Even if I don't always respond.  Sometimes it is hard for me to respond in these forums and I just don't know what to say.
I use my blog to express what I am feeling when it is to hard to post in the forums.  It helps me when I am trying to think things out to but them in my blog....I find my blog to be a good outlet.....I hope the blog helps you too...

Hi Dizzy,  I'm such a dinasaur I don't even know how to get to a blog. I would love to read it so I can support on your journey in life.  Just give me directions and I'll be there later today.
Right now it's my husband's birthday, so it is important for me to focus on him.

Dizzy

I put my impressions in your blog, remember they are mine based on myself and people I deal with. Including my therapist. They are not to replace professional help but to give you some ideas to take to them although you do not seem to be having much luck with them. Wish you could see my therapist, she is excellent at answering your sort of questions. I owe the freedom that I have to her caring enough to drag me kicking and screaming to where I am now.

Here for you
Davit.

Hi Dizzy,

I just read your blog. I'm so sorry for all the things that happened to you in your childhood that contributed to your current state. Sadly, the school systems of decades past were not as proactive as they are today to investigate the real reasons for kids having trouble.

As for your question, I would suggest that you keep your blog as it is and members can still comment on it in that format. The questions you are asking seem to me to be more appropriate for a professional to help you answer. Our forums are not meant to replace counselling but are more for sharing and supporting.

Are you using the tools in the program? I think the strategies you are using are great! Figuring out your triggers is helpful but keep focusing also on changing your behaviors and thoughts when the attacks strike.

Be gentle with yourself!

I know this is an unusual request but I was typing up a panic cycle post and found that I became to personal and long for a forum. I would ask anyone that has used CBT with some success to go and read my blog and respond to it. I need another persons eyes to give me some clarity. I would especially like people who have identified a person in their life as the cause of some of there problems. Also if an educator could take a look and reply or tell my blog, or tell me it is ok to put it as a post so they can then reply. Perhaps this is an in appropriate request in a forum it is that i have never blog before and so nobody would know that i have put one their know.
