Being outdoors

 Samantha,

I want to thank you for showing a interest in my progress.  I know my goals are small in comparison to others, but you have  to learn how to crawl before you can walk. That being said I am very happy with  my progress. In answer to the questions in your post.  I would really like to get outdoors doors more and that is one of my goals.   I really do love being outdoors in nature.  I always was a outside type of person and never liked being couped up in the house.  When I am out working in the yard my anxiety goes away and my mood greatly improves and I am never depressed.  All the plants are beautiful and alive and the birds are singing and it really makes me appreciate being alive.
It was raining all day here today but I was able to get outside in between down pours and I am really grateful for that.  I have a covered patio so I can go outside rain or shine and I also have a outside propane heater.  It really was wonderful sitting outside today watching and listening to the rain.   It was a really good day today.

Hi Red,

It is great to hear that you were able to get outdoors and work on your yard! It sounds like you have nice weather in your neck of the woods, and it is great to hear that you are fully taking advantage of the environment you live in! Continue to persevere and working on controlling your anxious thoughts. You are making great progress and it is beautiful to read about it! Thank you for sharing! Do you plan on getting outdoors more often? How does being outdoors and getting work done on your yard make you feel?

I have had a pretty good week so far.  I was able to get outdoors in the sun and work in my yard.  Gardening is something I really enjoy .   I think I am beginning to learn how to control my anxious thoughts and not let them consume  me or keep  me traped in the house.   I am learning how to enjoy my life again.   I am also learning how to listen to my body and stop and rest when I need to.  I have exercise hypertension and if I just let myself stop and rest I can still enjoy doing some of the things I used to love doing.  Anyway the yard is all mowed and trimmed and looking good.  The hard part is done and I can now enjoy working in my flower beds, feeding my birds and listening to my fountain on the patio weather permitting.
