Working w/ Panic Disorder

14 years ago 0 11214 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Amj,

Leaving work early may reinforce the fear and possibly cause added stress due to work pressures.  I highly recommend to continue working on the program.  It will help you address the panic in all areas of life, work included.

Visualizations, muscle relaxation and breathing exercises may help if you practice them throughout the day.  Check out the auxiliary session on Relaxation Techniques. Also, it might also be a good idea to go for a walk or do some physical activity as a break or on your lunch.  It will get you out of the office, give you time to relax and release pent up energy.

Amj, how do you feel when you want to leave work? When you do leave work how do you feel?  Please share your answers.

Members, please share how you cope with anxiety while you are at work.

Hello,

I recently began feeling more and more like leaving work early or not even going somedays. I am worried about my bills and financial life but it seems like I can get no relief while in the office. Does anyone have tips that they use while at work to stay motivated to remain and work thru the panic?
Thanks,

AMJ
