Before you drive it might be a good idea.  it will probably comfort you before you go and help you with the decision.
 
According to the program 30-40 fear is a good level for exposure work. 
 
Never apologize for posting here Lance!  We are always here for your support! I realize this is a tough choice for you also; but the answer has to come from you.  I think you know what you want to do.

I have MY car, MY insurance, MY license and I hand someone else my keys to drive. I am even a better driver than most, but there is the fear. I dont know why. I just know its helped ruin my life. Had panic attack never happened, meds and self medicating wouldnt have followed. I cant wait to get past this. I have put myself through 43 days of not smoking hoping it would help. Im trying to make changes, I guess I need to do more of the work.

I have read a lot of the program and I understand a lot of the material. Should I just focus on the exposure portion?

no its not that high, maybe 30-40. Its only bad if I get myself worked up. So, do I try today or work on it. Sorry Im on all the posts right now.

I highly recommend working through that section.  The program actually explains a whole process of exposing yourself to the fear.  There is a method to it.  It says if your fear is around 90 or 100 then you should start with a smaller step first.  Do you feel your fear is that high?

Its hard to say where its at. Its just the fear of the fear. It looks like the program basically says, I just need to do it to get through it.

Its been so hard to stay focused on any one program. I read bits and pieces of a bunch.

So, to do it or not. I can just have a friend drive like usual and not even deal with it today. Im still a little off yet anyway.

If you could rate how scared you are to drive between 0 - 100, 0 being not at all scared and 100 being the most scared you have ever been how high would you rate your fear?
 
Did you take a look at the Exposure Work Session?  You will find it to be very helpful.

Thats just it. I am telling my self I am going to drive a distance today and Im scared. I can change my mind and not do it, but I want to do it. I just want to be normal again. I just dont know what to do.
