Hi there - I just posted a new discussion, and see that you are also pre-menopausal like I am... with a return of panic.  I have a strong faith in God, but have to say, Eve or whoever must of really made him angry, as women suffer through periods and painful childbirth, and then at time when it's suppose to be all over - we get this ;>)  I say this in a kidding way, but gosh it's so frustrating!

Hi Shaz, welcome to the forums, its a great place to get info on what you are going through, the people
here are great!  I too am going through perimenopause and have been for 6 years, I know what you
mean about being tearful and the ups and downs but I just ride the waves and tell myself that my body
is changing and that their are going to be changes. It's good that you are having your hormones tested and
that your doc is on top of things, as for meds I take buspar and have been for years, for pms and anxiety
its an older med but it works for the most part.  I'm sure someone will be on shortly with some more info
for you sorry I can't be more help.  I just wanted to welcome you.

 Hello Everyone
I am from the UK. I started suffering panic attacks about ten years ago but got them under control. However over the last month or two  I have started having perimenopausal symptoms. My periods are all over the place and have been feeling tearful. I am 43. I went to the doctors and I need a blood test to test my hormones.
My panic attacks have come back I had the worst one last weekend in Asda whilst visiting my friend. It was off the scale. I have tried to carry on has normal. I know a lot about how panic cycles work but this does not seem  to help. I am now wondering when the nex one will be.
I am gutted that they have come back but glad I have found this forum cause I know you guys will know how I feel.

Has anybody experienced the return of panic attacks with the onset of perimenopausal symptoms - what medication helped ?

Sorry to ramble on but feel so much better for getting this of my chest.

Regards to all x
