Heya Zoe,

Welcome to the board!  Your girls are lucky to have you, it shows you care about them.  I've had agoraphobia for about the same amount of time, kicked into overdrive about a year or 2 back, and things have been getting better since I started this program.  Nothing worthwhile is overnight, just remember why you choose to fight it.  I feel like I'm starting to copy what Diva is saying and re-wording it now, so I'ma gonna leave it at that...look forward to seeing you around!

Cheers!

And keep your head up Karla, overcoming anxiety is like quitting cigarettes...the mind will try to keep you back because it's what it knows, but the fact that your working on it, (especially the fact that you realize it's anxiety), you're much better off then you know.  Cheers!

Hey Zoe,

I used to have agoraphobia. I could not leave my appartment alone at all. Heck at some points I could not go out at all. Now, I go to work via bus (big deal for me kinda bus phobic). I get around alone. I leave the house all the time. I have gone back to school and graduated from my first degree. I work. I go out with friends. It gets better! And the program here is excellent. And remember, baby steps! It is babty steps in the right direction that gets you there!
