Challenge for everyone?

Would Sunday be an ok time for everyone to start?  Then make it a weekly thing, where each Sunday night we can say the accomplishment on here...and I like both of your suggestions, lets incorporate both!

We could start off by doing a random act of kindness: smile, holding a door, etc.  Then follow that up with a few minutes of reflection on good things in your life.  I agree that we could do it for a random stranger, or someone within our personal circle.  Once it's done, come on here and make a post where we say what we did...mission accomplished!

*Sorry to change it from daily to weekly, but I'm not sure if I can do it daily anymore, as my job is beginning to get really busy (we will be hosting a conference for 1000+ people in 3 weeks, and I'm one of the "front" people so I have to deal with them all...yikes!)

I think this is a GREAT idea and I would participate too... I don't really follow the program though ... lol.. I'm the worst at follow through..

Random acts of kindness is another great thing - and they are as simple as sharing a smile.  Or holding a door... or giving up your seat on the bus.  Little things that you may not normally do....  and if you don't leave your home yet... they can be things you do to the people in your life or inner circle.  Your spouse, friend etc.  Doing something to say thank you for the support.  Baking their favourite treat...

I don't know..maybe that's a silly idea... I'm a Mom... I'm always pushing this with my kids...lol..

Let me know when the challenge starts :)

I would love to participate! What a great idea

A friend of mine mentioned how she takes a few moments out of each day to reflect upon all of the good in her life. I thought it was such a great idea to take some time every day to appreciate what we have and to think about all of the positive things, conversations, experiences or even moments we have each day.
So, my challenge is this. I challenge you all to do this every day, just for a few minutes. Give it a try, and please let us know how you feel

Hey Doc,

Only idea I have at the moment is basically what we're doing in the online program, and add our own little twists to it.

For instance: make a goal that for one week that we have to smile at one person once a day, then we come on here and check that off.  Rules would be that we have to do it, even if the one person a day we smile at is ourselves in the mirror, spouse, etc.  Work with what we can, and see if we can't step it up a notch where ever we feel comfortable.  No pushing outside each of our boundaries, as that wouldn't really help anyone out.

Hi,

Wow Joe, that is a great idea. I am in! I don't have any suggestions at the moment but if I get inspired I will be sure to share. In the meantime any ideas? One way or another I am interested in this idea and am up to it :)

Hey all, just curious if anyone would be interested in doing a challenge that we can all take on together.  Well, as together as you can get with online forums.  Something real easy and simple, as I do best with easy and simple.  Let me know if you're interested.

Cheers
