Hi Everyone...

Guilty thoughts suck!  That's what I say... Guilt is for people who have done something wrong.. like a criminal or someone who has betrayed someone.  What we are experiencing shouldn't make us feel guilty...We didn't choose this disorder just as people don't choose cancer or anything else awful.    That being said.. I have felt guilty at times but that puts even more strain into my relationships...  When I feel as though my disorder has "taken over" or played a large part in ruining a day or what not I try to make the most of it... Not by focusing on what we missed but on what we can do instead ... or how to make the most out of a compromised situation..

When talking to my hubby... some of the things that I felt guilty over he hadn't even given a thought too...so a lot of it is just what we think...not other people...

Well that's my two cents worth...

I've felt guilty all the time. Exactly what Koneko wrote, I feel so bad for my husband for not being able to enjoy the things we used to.

I always felt guilty being sad about my life in front of my mom.

I'm learning to forgive myself now because my loved ones hope for the best in me.

Yes I definately feel guilty a lot.  I feel bad for my fiancee who has been really supportive but hasn't been able to do much of the things we used to do together lately.  That makes me feel guilty all the time.

How did i know that question was going to come Breanne ? lol Yes i feel guilty quite alot of the time now , mostly for my children . I feel that im letting them down all the time . I used to take them everywhere , for fun days out in the park , beach or just for walks with the dog . After getting the panic attacks over two years ago its severley affected everything . Now i am trying i do go out locally just not the long bus rides to the 'exciting' places . How do i live with that hmmm i dont it bothers me alot and i get very down with the guilt . I do try at home with them with playing games , baking and drawing with them but thats not the same is it ?

Hello Lucy,

Welcome to the forums and thank you for sharing with us. This program helps teach people how to challenge their anxious and negative thoughts so it is very helpful.

I must admit that I do alot of negative self-talk and ma very hard on myself. I am sure I am not the only one here.

I hope this site is as helpful to you as it is to me. Once again welcome!

Hi I m new to this place but feel that it may help me. I m a very paranoid person and find life on a day to day basis a struggle. Although I manage to go to work and look after my daughter, I do struggle to have any faith in myself and feel 800% guilty about leaving my Daughters Father. Does any one else have guilty and hateful thoughts to them selves
