Trying hard

15 years ago 0 341 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
HI Cd, printed off session 4 and if it doesnt rain tomorrow i'm going to attempt the bus for 1 stop, and see how it goes..Yeah I moved so far about 30 times in my life so far, and i'm in my 40's..
I have never really lived in one place very long or held a job more than 5 years... Two jobs I left because of stress and anxiety..I hope not to do that again..I emailed the store that is opening near my house and they said to keep an eye out for the signs about hiring, that would be in our fall..so i'm going to look into that for just a few days a week, hopefully...

Yikes dont talk to me about moving . Since my first chikd was born 19 years ago i have moved 12 times . I moved 3 times in one year when i had four children !! So quite an expert now lol . I have lived here for four years now and dont intend moving again ( unless i win the lotto) . It does affect you Minnie when you arnt close to family i hated it . Now im an hours bus ride away . Awwwwwwwwww 5 years still in your first loving flush

I believe like ive picked up from alot of you that i have always been an anxious person . Shy as a child , well still am to a point . I just never learned to slow down , was always trying to please everyone . Never had any 'me' time so it was on a collision course to a 'break-down' sooner or later .

I am slowing down , find that hard but i know i have too .

Danielle thank-you for the encouragement it does mean alot honest . I did go again this sunday with my daughter again . It was easier than last week . Just got abit funny on the way home . I am a fighter believe it or not , just couldnt when i was so highly stressed and couldnt control my body .

HI Dazed Mom, I think its part of it in a way, as all my family are in toronto, and i'm here, not that its so bad, but all my cousins etc..are there. I had it for a while in toronto and was on the meds, but we also moved to toronto from south africa, thats where i'm originally from, so a lot of moving, change of lives etc..i think it factors in a lot, and plus i'm also sort of newly wed, 5 years now.

Hi Minn

Wow, that would be a huge change - especially the weather.  TO has it's own issues with winter but nothing like your storm season.

Sounds like you have a pretty great hubby, I do too (thankfully).  I'm sure at times he finds it tough as he is SO laid back and easy going and really can't figure out why I would waste valuable time consumed by worry.  That being said though, he always finds a way to make me feel better :)

Do you think your move had anything to do with your anxiety?  as moving is considered one of the 7 biggest stressors... or did you have anxiety when you were living in TO too?  Sometimes there is just no rhyme or reason to when or why... but how is the most important... how are we going to get through it?....

Thanks for sharing... :)

HI Dazed Mom, I used to live in Toronto, only been here 5 years now. Miss the old TO.
ITs a very big mall, 3 floors and is huge..I usually go with the hubby and if I feel icky he holds my hand and helps me thru it.  Your daughter would love the mall, Its a really good place to spend money.hehe I used to go to downtown toronto by myself to the eaton centre when I worked at the downtown and it never worried me..i used to go at lunch time!!! Different pressures on me now, I guess thats what makes it harder to do things, but i'm trying.:)

Ok.. both of you.. You've both been amazing sources of inspiration to me while I'm working through my "crap"... and for that I'm thankful!

CD - your words are often very kind with a bit of humour.. love that...

Minnie (like that a lot)... - You're making tremendous progress!!  woot woot!  and Mall of America.. amazing.. My daughter wants to go there to see the "American Girl" store... as we don't have anything like that in Canada.... We have big malls just not with that store...

Thanks you two (and all you other amazing folks reading this).... for making this a much more pleasant journey in what otherwise is a quite unpleasant experience.

Minnie !!!! Thank-you .

Well i felt a devil yesterday so i thought whats my WORST challenge . You guessed it probaly going to a suopermarket alone . I had an hour to wait for it to open ( In our country Sundays law opening times 10am-4pm wow !) . I phyched myself up , my little girl gave me the big blue eyes and wanted to go as well . Hmmm still counted it as going on my own because she's so young lol  . Now i wont say it was easy because as soon as i was walking there , throat went half its size , chest started hurting and the lovely face tingles returned but carried on . I was like the flash in there lol , i knew what i wanted so had it all planned till little madam wanted a toy arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . That was ten isles back glup . Those eyes melted me so raced to the toys and she picked a little cheap £1 cuddly toy bless her . Went no raced to check-out lol paid and pratically ran home .

Dont think i could manage a big shop on my own but hopefully in time will . Was pretty bad later on in the evening and still can flaming sleep , got up again at 5am . Hard to do things when you get up exhusted isnt it ?

Well have got all my kids back now so bang goes P&Q till they start school tommorrow .Intend taking them to town today to get there favourite cake but with hubby if he ever surfaces !!!
The friend bit touched me so much thank-you . Your a great mate as well
