Yes, you have the right idea, the key to success and progress with this program is to work at your own pace and make each exercise as meaningful to you as possible. That is not to say wait til you are totally comfortable, but at least until you notice some improvement/progress with how you are feeling. It is the small successes that will give you the skills and confidence to continue to proceed on through each of the steps.
