Hiya Tallglassofwater! I am sorry you had such a rough week. Thank you thoughfor letting us know what your therapist said. I will keep that in mind too. Thank for sharing that bit of wisdom with us :) -Diva

Tallglassofwater, Sorry to hear you also had a bad week. Your therapist made a good point, exposure work can't be easy but it can get easier. Keep persevering! Danielle ____________________ The PC Support Team

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad week, but I'm grateful you started a venting section. It was a horrible week for me as well. Exposure work just seemed to create new fears and made me worry the panic attacks would never go away. About the only bit of solace I could find, and I hope this helps everyone else, was the analogy my therapist used about learning to ride a bike. If we don't fall off, and fail in our early attempts, we can never learn to ride. I guess I found that reassuring and put my week in perspective. Tallglassofwater

Hiya Lorlee. once sgain you have just the right words to make me feel better and feel understood. Thank you for your support lately it has been soo appreciated, you have no idea. I cannot begin to thank you. As for you going off there no need to apologize, I get what you are saying and I totally agree. and hey, if it is ok for me to vent it sure is ok for you to vent too :) So vent away, I will listen. Funny how sometimes listening makes one feel understood... Anyway, Thank you again Lorlee for answering me, it makes a big difference in my day. And I just want to let you know I understand what you said in your reply completely and totally. But we will both beat this and have great lives. All of us on this forum will fight this and win. We can do this! -Diva

Hi Diva, It is so ok for you to vent!!! We all have times when we are sick and tired of dealing with our every day life problems on top of living with this stupid disorder. We want/need a little normalacy in our lives. You have been through so much in the last while and I can sense your frustration at having to cope and be strong all of the time. You have the right to be angry and quite frankly p***ed off at your situation. I think we all could use one of those blow up clowns that when you punch them they fall over and then bounce right back up. It would feel so good just to hit back at life. At times I am sure we have all felt like that clown. The hits just keep coming. It's odd but I feel angry for you too right now. I am so fed up with feeling afraid, for constantly trying to explain to people why I am SCARED. I just want to feel like I can walk out my door without performing some stupid ritual that I think will keep me safe and from harm or putting a plan of action into place in case I have another attack in public. I just want to be NORMAL!!!! Sorry that I went off but I know what you are going through. We should take our anger and make it work for us. I don't know about you Diva but sometimes I get alot accomplished when I am angry. It seems to motivate me. So vent away Diva after this last week you've earned it. :eg:

Diva, Vent away! If you're having a rough couple of days, it's okay to cry and let it all out. Anybody else would likely do the same. If you need a break, take one! Take an evening or even and hour and just be by yourself doing something pleasurable or relaxing. You have to take care of yourself first if you want to be able to take care of anyone else. Also be sure to let those emotions out during your alone time. This may help you from taking out your frustrations out on others. Chin up Diva! Better days are ahead! Bad days always come to an end. I didn`t know where to post this. This is not a setback or anything of the kind. In the sense that I know this will pass and I will figure it out and all will be well eventually. But I am having a rough week with everything that is going one with my grand-mother and not going to the funeral because I was asked not to. and now I thought I was finally catching a break at work (and trust me I really needed one!)and it just blew up in my face! I am so sick and tired of this week! I am trying to live in the Now and accept what is going on and put myself in the eye of the storm where it is calmer but honestly I just want to cry and bang my head against a wall all at once! This week is just bad! On top of it with me being off, I seem to be triggering fights with my hubby non-stop which is going a long way making me feel even worse! I just can't catch a break this week. My days have been s**tty and my evenings have been filled with fighting and crying! I am so so so sick of this! I just need a break. Something to go my way... Anyway, thank you for letting me vent. I feel somewhat better. -Diva
